21 Landmark Architectural Projects Set to Redefine Global Skylines in the Second Half of 2025

As the world enters the latter half of 2025, the global architecture scene is preparing for a surge of groundbreaking projects. From cultural landmarks across Asia to sustainable developments in North America and Europe, these 21 upcoming works are poised to reshape cityscapes, merge innovation with heritage, and inspire new architectural thinking worldwide.

The year 2025 is set to mark a turning point for the built environment, blending creativity, sustainability, and cultural sensitivity. Projects such as MAD Architects’ Hainan Science Museum in China, OMA’s Harajuku Quest in Tokyo, and David Chipperfield’s Elbtower in Hamburg highlight how design can redefine urban identity.

In North America, Studio Gang’s Shirley Chisholm Recreation Center in Brooklyn and Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles illustrate architecture’s role in connecting communities. In Europe, Shigeru Ban’s hybrid timber tower in Antwerp and Kengo Kuma’s visitor center at Albania’s Butrint National Park express the harmony between modern construction and local context.
